About ALTi

The Alternative Libraries @ Trent initiative started in 2005 as a joint project of Sadleir House, OPIRG, the Trent Central Student Association, and the Trent Women's Centre. The goal of the project is to raise awareness and provide increased access to the various information resources that exist at Trent University through the operation of an online searchable catalogue. Since 2005 the project has grown to include the Kawartha World Issues Centre (KWIC) and the Trent Centre for Community Based Education.

As of the beginning of 2010, the ALTi catalogue has over 4000 items listed with more being added everyday.

The current participating libraries are:
The Sadleir House Library
The Alternative Resource Library
The Kawartha World Issues Centre Global Education Library
The Environmental and Resource Studies Program Collection
Trent Centre for Community Based Education Resource Library.
